Social Service Guild


1. The name of the Guild shall be the Upendranath College Students' Social Service Guild, Soro.

2. The aims and objectives of the Guild shall be-
a) To grant financial aid to the needy and deserving students of the college.
b) To raise volunteer corps to render help at the time of natural calamities, accidents and in large gathering like melas and festivals.

3. a) All members of the staff are honorary members of the Guild.

4. The Executive Committee of the Guild shall consist of-
a) President (Principal, ex-officio)
b) Vice President and Associate Vice-President (to be nominated by the Principal from among the members of the staff.)
c) Secretary:- Any member of the Students' Union is eligible to contest for the post of Secretary.
d) Assistant Secretary:-Any member of the Students' Union is eligible to contest for the post of Asst. Secretary.
e) One representative from each class of Arts, Commerce and Science counted separately.

5. Election shall be held on such dates as per the Government notification.

6. The Secretary shall be responsible for-
a) Convening Executive meeting.
b) Organising Activities as under 2 above.
c) Maintaining records and proceedings under the direct supervision of the vice-president.

7. The Assistant Secretary shall assist the Secretary in discharging his duties and shall assume all charges of Secretary during his absence.

8. The funds of the Guild shall consist of
i) Annual contribution from students
ii) Voluntary contribution from members.
iii) Refund of aid by the beneficiaries.

9. a) The Principal shall be the administrator of the funds,
b) The Vice-President shall be responsible for the accounts.

10. Depending on the availability of funds, S.S.G. is given to the needy and deserving students of the college.

11. The Principal shall be the final controller of the Guild.
